Full coal train

A
B&O Class EM1 2-8-8-4 leads a long train
of full coal hoppers through Lindsay

The powerful model is produced by Bachmann

Empty coal train

A B&O Class EL 2-8-8-0 leads a train of empty coal hoppers through
Lindsay

This is a much admired Rivarossi model

Truck Dump

Trucks back up the ramp and dump there coal into the hopper

A conveyor moves the coal to the head

At the head coal is dumped left or right depending on how the gate is
set

Pocahontas Fuel Co

The screen has been narrowed so the front track can be used as a through
line

The tipple loads on the running line. This is viable in the USA where
train frequencies were lower than the UK's.

For photos of the earlier tipple see
Pocahontas Fuel Co

Grisedale Coal & Coke Co

The tipple is unusual as despite it's small size it can screen and load
three sizes of coal - left, right, & front.
